The video covers the unboxing of the AnyTone AT-779UV mini-mobile radio for VHF and UHF amateur radio or ham radio operation.
The AnyTone AT-779UV transceiver is capable of providing up to 25 watts of RF although it can also run at 10 watts and 5 watts output. At the full power the transceiver can become quite warm, so often the lower power settings are better if the higher power is not needed.
The AT-779UV has a 1.44 inch TFT display and it also has CTCSS & DCS, capabilities. The antenna connection uses a UHF connector (SO239 on the back of the radio).
The basic radio comes with a handheld microphone that also doubles up as a control panel for easy operation, mobile mounting bracket and screws a USB programming lead and a user guide.
The AnyTone AT-779UV provides a basic introductory radio for many radio amateurs and it will give good service over many years.
