In this video I talked to Mads Fischer of SIMcom to find out some of the options for using cellular connectivity (mobile phone network connectivity).

The Internet of Things, IoT is taking off in a big way and the Internet of Things is growing rapidly. However, it is necessary to connect the devices either to a network, or to the Internet as a whole. This may be wired or wireless. These IoT devices could be one of a range of items from smart meters to temperature sensors or much more complicated sensors.

Each one of these sensors will have different requirements in terms of the connectivity needed.

One popular method of providing wireless connectivity is to use the cellular network. As this has a very good level of coverage, it is an ideal choice. But even within this, there are many options as Mads Fischer explained.
