Ujung Kulon National Park and Krakatoa/Anak Krakatau is a beautiful and fascinating UNESCO World Heritage area. Located on the western tip of Java in Indonesia, Ujung Kulon is one of the few unpopulated or developed areas remaining on Java. The reason for this is simple: the 1883 eruption of nearby Krakatoa devastated the area, and it was never resettled. These days it's a national park and animal refuge, but we thought rather than try and fail to find animals in the jungle, let's check out one of the world's most active volcanoes instead! Enjoy!
