In this UGREEN USB C to USB adapter review, I go over my experience using this 4-pack of USB-A to USB-C adapters for about 9 months with my Mac Mini and several different devices. This is a simple real-world review, but I wanted to show how these adapters have actually been working for me in day-to-day use.
In the video, I show these UGREEN USB adapters working with a microphone, speakers, a hard drive, and even a USB-A transmitter for a trackpad. I also talk a little bit about the advertised 10Gbps transfer speeds and why your actual speeds are still going to depend on the device you’re using with them. In my case, I show a hard drive that tops out around 120 MB/s, so the adapter isn’t increasing that speed, but it also isn’t holding it back.
After using these USB-C to USB-A adapters for 9 months, I can honestly say I really like them. They’ve been reliable, they’ve worked with multiple devices for me, and they’ve been a very handy way to connect older USB-A accessories to a computer that only has USB-C ports.
