This stunt was interesting. Often, while setting up jumps, in my head I'll know whether or not I'll hesitate once it's time to actually do it. There've been many times where I've scrapped an entire scene just because I couldn't bring myself to attempt it; when I was setting this one up, I was getting that feeling. there were too many parts resulting in too many variables: will I overjump and land on my head? Will I miss the box and land on my head? Will I get caught in the ladder and land on my head?
Accompanying all this, when I'm gearing up to do a stunt, there's a window of near-blank mindset right before I'm going to jump onto something, where if I time it perfectly and don't think, it's easy to muster the courage. This stunt was the fastest I've done in some time and I feel as though I've hit some kind of plateau where I can do anything if I time it right in my head.
Before I broke my leg there was this part of me that felt invincible because of how seldom I get really hurt with this. I guess it's coming back.
Enjoi.
