Injuries in high-intensity sports, such as CrossFit, are relatively common. But just how common are they, and how do the odds compare to those in other sports?

In this video, I discuss a new study on injuries in CrossFit. German researchers surveyed over 300 athletes of various ages and skill levels about their injury rates during CrossFit training. The data revealed that barbell exercises, box jumps, and pull-ups were most commonly associated with injuries among CrossFit participants. Additionally, research by Miwais Mehrab and colleagues indicates that a sudden increase in training load is the most significant factor in causing injuries in high-intensity sports.
