Grants Pass TV Repair | TV Antennas I Use The Most. Model numbers listed in info section @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 4 years ago | Updated 2 hours ago
In a previous video I mentioned the challenges I've encountered trying to find the perfect antenna for every location. After I tested 17 different antennas my test results varied depending on the location, so I was not able to find a one size fits all antenna. In this video I share information on which 3 TV antennas I use the most and why. Channel Master and Winegard both produce a large variety of different TV antennas, and some are designed for specific frequencies, so what works for me may not be ideal in your location, but based on my experience the Winegard HD7694P and the Channel Master Advantage 45 are the Two TV antennas I use more than any others when I need an antenna that operates on both UHF and VHF frequencies, but when it comes to only UHF frequencies, here in Grants Pass I'm often able to use a small UHF loop so long as I have it outside. If I need a little more gain I've often used that interesting looking Chinese made antenna called the Leadzm TA451C.
Outdoor UHF Antennas seem to be readily available almost everywhere, and I'm sure most of them perform fairly well, but my idea of an ideal antenna is the smallest antenna I can get away with which still gives me reliable performance.
For those who might be wondering about the antennas and their model numbers of all the antennas I mentioned.

The Channel Master Yagi Antenna is called the Advantage 45. Model number CM-3016

The 8 bay phased array bowtie antenna is called the Channel Master Extremetenna 80, Model CM-4228HD.

The Winegard Yagi Antenna Model number is HD7694P

The odd looking UHF Antena with the large front is named Leadzm Model TA-451C

The small UHF Loop is something I made myself using a cable matching 300 to 75 ohm antenna balun and a loop of wire.
