Grants Pass TV Repair | Simple AC Generator Project For Demonstrating Alternating Current. @GrantsPassTVRepair | Uploaded 7 months ago | Updated 3 hours ago
Reflecting back on the fun I had learning electronics, it was simple projects like this, that encouraged me to experiment and learn more. This simple AC generator is not a very efficient design, and doesn't produce much power, but it still fascinates people who see how a magnetic field can produce energy in a coil of wire, in spite of the distance between the magnet and the coil. My coil is made with 30 gauge copper enamel magnet wire, and the weight is about 5 pounds, which I believe must have about 3 miles of wire in it.
