Lanyards or holders for your gaffer's tape are already pretty inexpensive, but I figured what the hell, I'll make one for cheaper anyway. SO, here ya go! For less than $5 and in under 2 minutes you can make your own lanyard to hold your gaffer's tape!
If you've got a carabiner and some rope at home you should be good to go, but if you need some supplies here's what I used:

Most home improvement stores will let you buy custom lengths of rope, and you can get single carabiners too, so consider buying local if you're able to!
