Furniture Pads, also known as Furni pads, or Sound Blankets, are super common in the filmmaking and video production industries - and for good reason - these things have a ton of uses on sets, out in the field, and in the studio. And in this video we’re going over ten ways that you can use furniture pads in your video production, filmmaking, and photography projects.
1 - Use them to dampen sounds
2 - Black out your windows
3 - Use as an actual furniture pad
4 - Use as a seat cushion
5 - Use as a camera dolly
6 - Use as a photo background
7 - Pad your gear
8 - Use as a bean bag for low angle shots
9 - Use it like a regular blanket

I usually just buy the inexpensive furniture pads from my local hardware stores (Harbor Freight usually has most sizes for under like $8), but you can find fancier ones and more sizes online too. Most of my smaller sizes I install grommets on for easier rigging as well.
