Small rosewood bowl blank, cut in half to expose more ‘decorative’ features. Turned to leave two sides flat. Heat fractures showed up along grain lines while coring - filled with black Starbond CA glue. Sanded to 600 grit and finished with three coats of shellac. Cleaned up with Beall buffing system with Tripoli and white diamond compounds, then finally Ack’s Carnuba Polishing Paste.
Final dimensions - 5-5/8 inches tall, 2-3/4 inches at widest, 4-9/32 inches deep inside.
