This is not just another radar upgrade. It represents a major leap in Turkey’s ambition to build a fully indigenous, high-tech air surveillance network.
The ALP-300G is based on Gallium Nitride, or GaN technology, and operates as an S-band Active Electronically Scanned Array, or AESA radar. In simple terms, this means it can scan vast areas of airspace with extreme speed, precision, and resistance to electronic interference.
Unlike traditional fixed radar stations, the ALP-300G is fully mobile. Mounted on an 8x8 tactical vehicle platform, it can be rapidly deployed and made operational in roughly 30 minutes. This mobility gives it a major advantage in modern, fast-changing combat environments.
The system is designed for one critical mission—early warning and long-range air surveillance. It can detect and track a wide spectrum of aerial threats, including fighter jets, unmanned aerial vehicles, cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and even low-observable stealth aircraft.
