Turbo A/R test! Full dyno results! How much does a change in A/R (from .83 to 1.21) change boost response and power? We compared exactly that (and our G42) on a 5.3L on the chassis dyno in our Turbo Tahoe (junkyard 5.3L). The change in A/R from .83 to 1.21 changed boost response by 200 rpm. The bigger A/R made more peak power and lowered back pressure. We recommend the 1.21 to most LS owners (4.8L and 5.3L) as the RHiP800 is ultra responsive with the 1.21. The .83 can be used for people running lower boost levels (especially 4.8L owners). Our new RHiP800+ is even better (in every way) than the original tested here (more power, lower back pressure and slightly better response).
