Can you accurately name all 4 lanes of a 4 lane freeway? 1. Far right Lane. 2. Lane next to far right lane. 3. Lane next to far left lane. 4. Far Left Lane. Number four (4.) is easy, that’s the FAST lane. Number 1. And 2. is where most people mess up. Lane Number 1. Is NOT the slow lane, that is a merge lane, to get on and off the freeway. Don’t drive for any length in this lane. Lane 2. Is actually the slow lane, where you should be driving before merging over to the designated merge lane to exit. Lane 3. Is where you should drive, and only pass in the fast lane, but what fun is that! I got boost and I’m going to exercise my god-given right to enjoy it! Why do you think they call it the fast lane?
