A new era for NATO has begun following the historic summit in Ankara, Türkiye.
President Trump’s criticism of Nato over defence spending and the lack of assistance sought by the US -Israeli war in Iran, Trump left the summit claiming it was a success.
The US President had said he was only attending the summit because of his friend, President Erdoğan.
Despite Trump's threats about leaving the alliance, he appeared to soften his stance during the Ankara summit. He said the US would lift sanctions on Türkiye and is considering a F-35 deal. Plus, he announced the US would grant Ukraine a license to manufacture Patriot missiles.
