Simon Lindley was a landscaper who loved his F150 Lightning EV Truck but he kept encountering all sorts of misconceptions about EVs, so he set out to test the limits of EV trucks.
He started the Trucked UP EVs YouTube channel and set out on a cross-country tour to find the good, the bad and the ugly about EV trucks. We caught up with him at Mile Zero on the Alaska Highway in Dawson Creek, British Columbia after he had just finished a tour of northern BC and the Yukon formerly a black hole for EVs. But his tour started just as the BC Electric Highway was nearing completion complete with a network of super-fast chargers installed by BC Hydro across the province. Then he headed east off to Alberta although he was optimistic at first, things went a little awry. We talked to Lindley after he completed his tour that went from coast to coast in Canada testing the limits of EV Trucks, and EV charging and documenting the experience that ranged from what he describes as EV Mordor to one of the best places to drive an EV in the world.
