FULL INTERVIEW - Prime Minister Mark Carney took office in Canada with some pretty solid climate credentials, which in the face of a lack of action has left some wondering if he is a climate change sell-out.
He nixed the carbon tax, paused EV mandates, eased up on methane reductions, and is now poised to eliminate a carbon emissions cap, recind a tanker ban and offer carbon credits for enhanced oil recovery.
To go beneath the headlines we got in touch with the National Observer's Max Fawcett to discuss Prime Minister Mark Carney's climate credentials and the question of whether he is throwing climate change and energy transition under the bus or playing a long game to get meaningful climate action.
