In this journal entry for #SepTandy2022, I'm going to do a little more work on my TRS-80 Model 3 computer. Last time I used it, smoke came out of the vents due to a blown RIFA capacitors on one of the two power supplies. The RIFA caps aren't critical and help clean up any noise on the AC side and perhaps add a little surge protection. Since I don't have any RIFA capacitors available, I'm going to substitute a surge protector plug in its place. Then I'll start loading some games via a jerry-rigged cassette port connection to see the computer in action.
