Not everyone has access to free wood. However you may find that your local Saw Mill may either sell cheap wood or even give off-cuts away for free. My local Mill sells off-cuts of wet wood for firewood, this is really cheap ad a great source of getting wood.
I have visited one Mill where you could just help yourself to a bin full of off-cuts which are free of charge or sometimes require a small charitable donation.
No turning in this video but an insight to what you might find at a Mill if you've never been before.
