Trinity Railway Express operates 68 week day and 42 weekend trains between Dallas and Fort Worth using EMD F59PH and F59PHI locomotives. This busy corridor has many hotspots, including the soon-to-be-replaced wood and through truss bridge over the Trinity River; Dallas, Garland & Northeastern's Mockingbird Railyard; and the Beltline Grade separation at Irving. Amtrak also runs this route, but it's not just limited to passenger trains either!
A BNSF freight made a surprise appearance during our visit—there are an average of 3-4 BNSF trains daily, but most run at night to not conflict with the TRE trains.
