On May 1, 2014: A variety of trains pass over some fresh rail heads in Womelsdorf, PA.
CSX Q140 (NS 070) Tropicana Juice Train detours on the NS Harrisburg Line after severe rain and washouts cause several derailments on the CSX network near Baltimore. NS empty auto train 11J waits at DORF for 070 to cross from Main 1 to 2. After 070 clears, the camera shifts angles to the other side of the interlocking at the Brick Plant Road crossing. 11J throttles west, also crossing over at DORF, from 1 to 2, as baretable train 21W is slowing down to stop at DORF on track 1 after following 070 out of Harrisburg. 21W shows up shortly after 11J passes, making a quick, high-amp throttle up on Main 1, also crossing over to 2 at DORF; thus completing what I like to call "DORF Diverging Day" since all of the trains used the crossover. Also notice the Limited-Clear signal (red aspect top; flashing green on bottom) before 21W crosses over.
Freshly ground rail: Notice the trains on track two; 070 and 11J, have a loud-pitch hum as they speed across the rails that were freshly ground by a LORAM Railgrinder a few days prior to the shooting of this video. 21W serves as a comparison to the other two trains because Track One has not been ground recently.

On October 16, 2016, the last day of the Autumn Leaf excursions for the year, R&N 425 debuts with an 8 car consist without a diesel in tow. I decided to break out the 4K mode on the AX100, having only enough time to chase the return trip home from Jim Thorpe. Despite not having a diesel, 425 moved right along with the shortened consist, making a rather hasty pace over Hometown Hill, gliding right on down the other side to Port Clinton. Shot at Nesquehoning, Hometown Hill, Quakake, and Molino. Thanks for watching!
