Decided to experiment on my beloved variegated fiddle leaf! It has been growing in gritty mix since I received it and I wanted to switch it to hydro. Instead of using the standard method, I decided to simply start leaving a layer of water in the saucer. It was actually working great, until it wasn't!
In this video, I will explain the experimental method and then give the plant a proper transition to the passive hydroponics growing style. I hope this video will help to convince you all to make your transitions "proper" :)
