A BTS clip of Rick Crawley demoing and explaining the Rifle to Pistol Transition D.O.P.E. Drill to a class in Boise, ID.

This version of the D.O.P.E. Drill includes firing one round from your rifle then transitioning on an empty magazine over to your pistol and firing 5 rounds.
Start at 5yds and repeat at 10, 15, 20, and 25yds.
Total score is out of 150pts, with 6 rounds at each yard line being fired and a maximum point value of 5pts per round if fired into the A-zone.
A-zone is worth 5pts, C-zone is 3pts, and D-zone is 1pt.
Lastly, add up all of your points, add up all your times, and divide your total score by total time for your Hit Factor. A good Hit Factor for this specific drill is 10pts.
