Welcome to Episode 1 of my brand new series of turning my spare room into an Architectural Digest-style space.
I’m teaming up with my interior designer friend to turn our basic, builder-grade spare room into an Architectural Digest-inspired studio apartment/YouTube Studio.
The goal? To give a standard room some serious structural character, moody lighting, and a total aesthetic reset. We’re chasing a sophisticated speakeasy vibe with deep colors, custom sconces, books, and a record player setup.
Obviously, it wouldn’t be something AD would actually feature, lol, but it’s an inspired version that uses a lot of secondhand gems sourced from Facebook Marketplace, consignment shops, and vintage stores.
We're calling it "The Blue Room." Pull up a chair, grab a snack, hang out, and see how it all pans out!
