The first EMU Siemens Desiro of BDZ which has been overhauled by the French company Alstom is 31 005/31 006. BDZ has signed a contract with the Alstom in 2020 for overhauling the Siemens Desiro units which hasn't been overhauled more than 13 years.
The overhaul of EMU 31 005/31 006 took several months and now the unit is completely ready. It is partially repainted, all broken windows are replaced and also the EMU has a new e-boards, because the old ones were corrupted. Of course, the train is cleaned very well from graffiti and I'm hoping it will stay clean for at least first several months in service.
In the video the EMU was pushed out to Iliyantsi station in Sofia by a diesel locomotive class 51 of TTL. From Iliyantsi the 31005/006 was taken by another Desiro EMU towards the depot.
