Stratford International is a key station located on High Speed 1, the UK's only high speed railway. Rather amusingly, despite its name, it has no international trains serving it. However that doesn't mean you don't get plenty of Eurostar services passing through, with plenty of Southeastern High Speed services stopping at the station too.
I stayed here for around an hour and managed to catch the bulk of the action that takes place here. Now that Eurostar have resumed normal service after their heavily reduced COVID-19 timetable, it was good to see lots of busy services again to the likes of Paris, Brussels and Marne-la-Valee (with trains every hour to Paris again!) We even managed to catch a Class 373 set which was a welcome visitor. Southeastern High Speed services were busy too, with many passengers taking advantage of the hot weather travelling to Kent beach resorts.
Stratford International is definitely worth a visit. There's nothing like seeing high speed trains zoom past at over 125mph.
My next video will be from Japan, on the complete other side of the world, for some filming of trains at Tokyo Haneda Airport.
