Last year I attended a Shoot Aikido seminar in Tokyo, led by the founder of the style, Fumio Sakurai Sensei

Sakurai Sensei trained in Yoshinkan Aikido under the legendary Aikido Master Gozo Shioda and little is known about Aikido S.A. outside of Japan,

One of the most unique aspects about this style is Aiki-Kumite, which loosely translates as Aiki-grappling. This is basically sparring with live resistance, whilst only using Aikido techniques.

This was a great experience and I will be sharing some of my sparring footage in a future video.
