Hi everyone, I’m Christan Long!
I am an adventure traveler who grew up as a part of The Long Family of Gorge River. We are the most isolated family in New Zealand. We live 2 days walk from the nearest road on the South Island West Coast, between Haast and Milford Sound.
It’s the middle of winter here in Arctic, Norway. In this video, I am gonna take you out to the training round with me with the twenty dogs, through the forest around the place.
Now these twenty dogs run about a hundred and forty meters in the last two days. today we're gonna be running sixty kilometers. And these dogs at the end of the winter will be running the finnmark local race in October.

A race which is about a thousand kilometers long and it helds further North in here.
To start in the morning we feed the dogs a meat soup. And this is mostly for hydration. Has a little bit of meat on it, and some chopped up stomach or some dog sausage lump.
We gave the females like three quarters of the scoop of the soup. And the male gives a full scoop of the soup. That's breakfast, and they also get snacks which is like a handful of dog sausage lump mixed with dry foods.
This gives the dogs enough energy to run for the day. Today we are gonna run sixty and I will do that probably in three rounds of twenty. And we will stop for water and snacks in between rounds back of the house.
There are two types of Husky. Alaskan husky and Syberian husky. Alaskan huskies are not that much fluffy or cute but they are great for really really good racing dogs and strong working dogs.
