Hi everyone, I’m Christan Long!
I am an adventure traveler who grew up as a part of The Long Family of Gorge River. We are the most isolated family in New Zealand. We live 2 days walk from the nearest road on the South Island West Coast, between Haast and Milford Sound.
I am still living in Tromso Arctic Norway and still working as a dog sled musher at Tromso Villmarkssenter. In this video stay tuned because at the end of it I’m going to give you the chance to win something pretty cool, but I can’t tell you exactly what it is until next week!!!

I have had some challenges here and we have just come out of a long dark winter up here in the Arctic. This year winter for me was quite challenging. I was away in quite an isolated place training racing dogs. We didn’t really have snow here in Tromso until February.
We also had no guests until February so it was a really weird winter. It can be quite hard to get out of bed in the morning and motivate yourself to do something when it's been dark for months..
