Hi everyone, I’m Christan Long!

I am an adventure traveler who grew up as a part of The Long Family of Gorge River. We are the most isolated family in New Zealand. We live 2 days' walk from the nearest road on the South Island West Coast, between Haast and Milford Sound.

Right now I’m at my home at Gorge River and in this video I’ll give you a quick life update as I walk down the airstrip.

I've been home for about the last month. And most of my time has been spent on my computer, trying to finish my book. I’m using our solar power to charge my laptop and sometimes the power has been low because of the lack of winter sunlight!

But the good news is that I’m pretty much finished and I have done the complete second edit of my book- “A Boy From Gorge River”. And it will be published next April.

It’s really super exciting!!! But it has been a lot of hard work, a lot of days sitting inside with a beautiful outside view, making the most of the sunshine, using my computer, and going through a hundred thousand words.
