Costa Rica wildlife trail camera footage of rainforest animals from 19 cameras over 80 days—nearly 5,000 clips from the wildlife zone during the dry season and rainy season, including rare animal behavior and encounters from the rainforest. I expected the rainy season to bring more wildlife activity. But after comparing 40 days of dry-season footage with 40 days of rainy-season footage, the answer was not what I expected. Before watching, make your guess: which season recorded more activity? All animals are in a private reserve near Golfito, Costa Rica.
This Costa Rica wildlife documentary includes pumas, ocelots, jaguarundis, tayras, coatis, armadillos, anteaters, opossums, raccoons, agoutis, monkeys, frogs, and many rainforest birds. The trail cameras captured predators, family groups, courtship behavior, feeding, territorial encounters, unusual visitors, and moments that are easy to miss in the forest.
The footage was recorded in a Costa Rican rainforest using trail cameras and presented with natural jungle sound and educational captions. I have left the central question open until the end, so you can compare the two seasons before seeing the final numbers.
