When i found out about the Whiskey bottle story i knew i had to give this location another go although it has already costed me one drone repair. This is therefore not my first trip up there and definitely not the last one. This was however my first trip with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro but i wanted to see how the drone would present the lava spire with the zoom lenses and the main filming mission will include closeups from the lava layers since i just started! This is a fabulous filming location and very demanding so i need to have the right conditions right but this passing by tour worked fine and helped to map what i want from my main mission, hopefully soon.
Hraundrangi rises to 1,075 metres (3,527 ft) above sea level and it looks the best from Iceland's highway number 1 trough Öxnadalur valley which is 20-30 minutes away from Akureyri.
