This route runs from Wilson station, to Exhibition (princess gates). This route runs 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. There are a few branches to this route, which include 29A, 29C, & 29D. 29A & C are used more frequently, while D is mainly for special events. there is also an express route for Dufferin, the 929 Dufferin express. This route operates Monday-Friday during the day. It was previously the 29E. This route 95% of the time uses 60 foot articulated buses, but sometimes there can be 40 foot buses on the route. At night buses display Route “329 Dufferin night bus” on the destination sign to show that it is a night route. This route is operated by TTC’s Mount Dennis Division. In this video we take a short ride, starting at TTC’s Wilson subway station, and ending at Bentworth avenue.
9104 is a 2014 Novabus LFSA Diesel and is part of an order of 153 buses. (9000-9152). These were TTC’s first articulated buses in the fleet since 2003, and were the first Novabuses ordered since 1998. 9000-9026 are 3rd generation LFSA’s and are built in 2013, while 9027-9152 are 4th generation LFSA’s and are built in 2014. These units are powered by a Cummins 8.9L 330HP Clean Diesel engine (ISL9) and a Allison world Automatic 6 speed transmission high performance (B500R-6). These units ride on ZF axles. These units feature American seating insight on the inside, and automatic heating and cooling on the interior for passengers. 9000-9152 are currently in the process of rehabilitation or rebuild and all units are slowly being overhauled, upgraded, and repainted. At the time of this video, the HVAC was running in this unit. This makes it sound more badass than ever!
