In this video we take a ride on Mississauga Miway’s route 110 University Express, which runs North and South between City Centre Transit Terminal (Square one Shopping Centre) & Clarkson Go Station. Route 110 runs 5 days a week almost 24 hours a day, and is based out of Miway’s Central Parkway Garage. This route uses 40 foot transit buses.
0546 is a 2005 New Flyer D40LF and is part of a 72 unit order (0501-0572). These were the second and final fleet of D40LF buses purchased from New Flyer by MiWay, and are in the process of Retirement. These units are powered with a Cummins 8.3L EPA2004 Diesel Turbocharged Engine (ISL) and a 4 speed automatic Voith DIWA-864.3E transmission. This bus had the Air conditioning running, so the sound of the HVAC system is present. These units use American Seating Model 6468 passenger seats, and operator controlled climate control.
