It’s an exciting time at Tormach when we can go over to the Battlebots arena and repair all the damaged bots to return them to battle. During two weeks, 69 teams were under the gun to repair their equipment as quickly as possible. So, for the second year in a row Tormach jumped into the Battlebot pit with the: 1100M+ Mill, the 15L Slant-PRO lathe, and the new AF50 Bandsaw. Jason Pulvermacher was joined by two Tormach Engineers and a volunteer, to help crank out the repaired, and new parts. The Tormach team repaired 150 Battlebots parts! But they weren’t the only ones handling the machines this year. Since it was so easy for the contestants to jump onto PathPilot, many of them took over and handled the cutting on their own.
This year Battlebots is being shown on two stations. On Friday nights Discovery will air the first new episode, and then the next Wednesday, The Science Channel will air the repeat. Make sure you tune in on either night, to keep an eye out for the Tormach cutting away and for an interview with Jason. This years fight card is full of your favorite robots, including: Tombstone, Witch Doctor, Minotaur and even a Duck! Battlebots is always an exciting challenge and Tormach is proud to be a part of the new season of mechanized mayhem.
