At its core, Yu-Gi-Oh has always been a game that’s shrouded itself in magic, mysticism and rituals, especially because its main inspirations in Dungeons and Dragons and Magic: The Gathering revel in the same concepts.
As a result, Spellcasters are an important part of Yu-Gi-Oh, mechanically and lore wise, to the point where Yu-Gi-Oh’s main mascot other than Atem himself, is The Ultimate Wizard in terms of attack and defense.
Without them, the game and its impact on wider culture would look entirely different, however, not every Spellcaster is as trained in the dark arts as Dark Magician is, which is why today we’re counting down the top ten worst Spellcasters in Yu-Gi-Oh, what makes them so terrible and even some of their potential use-cases despite how awful they may appear.
