The Exorcist is considered by many to be the best horror film ever made, and the scene of Father Merrin's arrival at the MacNeil residence is one of its most iconic moments. The brilliant setting, inspired by René Magritt's 1954 painting Empire of Light (L'Empire des lumières), accompanied by Mike Oldfield's Tubular Bells, is hard to forget.

Many films and TV series have paid homage to this mythical scene, from Horror Show we want to pay homage to William Friedkin's masterpiece with a compilation of the best homages.
