Hi Guys and Gals Today we have TOMY Plarail Dash the logging loco. This loco is one half of the pair Bash and Dash but sadly at the moment only Dash was available at the time of filming. I bought this loco on ebay for around $33.
The unboxing is filmed on my phone a samsung GS3 and the running section was filmed on samsung nx1000 with 20-50mm lens on a tripod :D
On to the train!
This loco appears to have the older Thomas type drive unit and runs on a AA battery it is smooth and quiet and tracks well. Its not the fastest loco around but its not the slowest either running along at a fair pace pulling its 2 log trucks. The battery compartment opens from underneath the front and the front wheels and base are removed to fit a battery.
The Loco looks great and has a good level of detail from the factory, piping is there and painted and the face and other details look good, the sticker on the back of the loco that looks like a large gear is a bit of a letdown though. Dash comes with 2 normal trucks and 4 log loads to completely fill the trucks which I think is a great thought and it will ensure there is enough Jobi wood for delivery to the worksites :D
So a good loco and its a shame I don't have Bash or the Trackmaster versions yet to compare it too but I do intend to get them all and do a big video roundup like I did with Belle and Flynn.
I give this loco a score of 9.5/10 it runs well and comes with a pair of trucks and full log loads but the engine is a bit of a lightweight and could have been a bit heavier but this just adds more room to modify it further with extra weight and motor modification.
Thanks for watching!! as I upload this I will reach 5000 subs!! Thankyou so much all of you for all your support over the last year and hopefully there will be more years to come!
