Tomb Raider Chronicles, or Tomb Raider 5, is an action adventure game developed by Core Design and published by Eidos Interactive in 2000. After the events of Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation, Lara Croft is presumed dead. Close friends of her recollect some of her earlier adventures after a memorial service.
After the development team attempted to kill off Lara Croft in the previous game, Eidos insisted to continue the series. So Core Design split into two teams: A new one began working on Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, while most of the previous team was creating Chronicles.
