Tokyo Xtreme Racer 3 was the first in the franchise to add water & oil temperature stats to the game. They're only affected in quest mode & only rise during battles. But nonetheless we've all had the problem of being forced to a pit area or the garage earlier than we wanted to because the car was heating up too fast. Especially noticeable with more heavily tuned cars, especially if said car has little to no cooling upgrades to go with it. Once your water temperature reaches 100 degrees celsius and the oil temp hits 110, those numbers turn red and your performance begins degrading until you either pit or head to the garage. Well I accidentally noticed something the other day that helped greatly with this, at no cost to performance what so ever. A bit of a heads up though, this only works for engine swapped cars. So if yours isn't swapped, then this video won't help you.
Remove your engine swap & go back to your default engine, remove all your engine upgrades from it, then reapply your engine swap, that's it. It won't even reset your gear ratios if you've messed with them. And after testing it here, it took over 20 seconds longer before my car started heating up than in the first run where I still had the engine upgrades for the default engine equipped. Over the course of nearly 3 minutes before the second race came to an end, my water & oil temps were 4 degrees lower than they were at that point in the first race, which is quite a lot. Important to clarify as the first race ended up going on for much longer. Should also help the car cool back off faster in between battles, ultimately helping you extend your win streaks further with fewer pit stops in between.
