From the beginning of the game, when you go to either of the 2 event trees you clearly see there are 30 events in total for each, atleast as far as you know anyway. You won't know this until after completely finishing each event tree, but there's an extra bonus 31st event you'll unlock for both event trees after completely clearing them out. Then after beating those events, a super bonus 32nd event is unlocked for the championship event tree. Then after beating that you're finally all done. So there's actually 3 more events left in total. After all we just did event 30 for both championship and ultimate racer mode and still have 1 more car left to unlock, we can't possibly be done yet. Our quest to unlock all cars & tracks in the game isn't complete. So here we are, the last section of this playthrough, kind of like an after phase I guess.
For the bonus championship event, it's a one-make race for the Ferrari F50 for 3 laps around Island Outskirts. All 3 bonus events are centered around Ferrari's by the way. There's 7 cars in total, 2 of which are unfairly driving the faster NFS edition of the car so be wary of that. These 3 bonus events are unique in that they feature something you won't find anywhere else in the game, a cockpit camera mode. And just to make that known right away, you'll literally start each of the 3 bonus events in this unique camera view. And for 2002 standards, it's a well detailed cockpit too. The RPM and speedometer gauges on the dashboard are fully functional and the steering wheel moves as you turn the wheel. The 2 bonus championship mode events also feature another thing almost never seen in the first 30 normal events, traffic. So don't let that catch you off guard. Regardless whether you do the 31st championship or ultimate racer event first, once you beat one of them the 32nd championship event will appear on the event tree to preview. But it won't be unlocked for you to actually complete until you beat both 31st events, not to mention all 60 normal events across both event trees prior to that, you can't skip over any of them.
