The newest Tokyo Xtreme Racer has quite a big car list with over 80 licensed cars and over 70 custom cars as well. If you’re a car enthusiast like me who likes to own all kinds of different cars, you're gonna need a lot of credits to buy & fully upgrade them. You'll need quite a few cars just to fully complete the game. The prize money you get from progressing through the game will only get you so far towards finishing your dream garage. You’ll have to do some grinding if you want lots of cars so it's important to know how to best earn credits on here. Luckily grinding for credits is so much easier in this game than it ever was in past TXR games. First off, there's quite a few perks & driver skills you'll wanna make sure you have beforehand. For the perks you'll atleast want all the highest level 6 perks related to boosting your income from rivals. For driver skills, applying the max level 5 skills I showed at the beginning of the video works quite well. Before heading out on the expressway, make sure to put on hard tires and make sure additional rules are on. It makes things a bit harder, but you’re rewarded with 50% extra credits when you win battles, so it's a necessity to have on. You'll need a properly fast car to make the grind easy. The 2017 Nissan GT-R is the best choice, although the 2014 model is a close second. Both have well over 1,100 PS fully tuned. You'll wanna look for an end game boss that's easy to beat consistently & pays a lot of money for beating them again.
Rivals pay out 5x more BP and 3x more CP when beating them for the first time, but you can only race & beat someone for the first time once. In addition, when defeating someone for the first time you get a "rival defeated bonus" that you’ll never get from them again afterwards. So when racing end game rivals, you get 30 BP when beating them the first time, then only 6 BP each time afterwards. That's why it's important to choose an end game boss to race over & over. My personal suggestion is Eternal Polaris as she's very easy with a maxed out GT-R and not one of her 3 driver skills involves a counter to the incredibly OP "Center of Attention" skill. So you can cause a lot of damage immediately upon passing her and win within 10-15 seconds everytime. But she won't be out on the expressway every night, so you may have to race someone else, as I did here. Snake Eyes is your second best bet, although he's faster and does have the level 4 “Heart of Steel” skill to counter the "Center of Attention" skill, making it mostly useless. So it takes a bit longer to beat him as long as you don't crash. And if you do there's a good chance he'll pass you, and then bye-bye win streak. I wouldn't recommend racing Swift Emperor unless you have no other choice & are on the Wangan and have nitrous on hand as his NSX has close to 1,000 PS and can somewhat keep pace with you. All 3 of these racers give 864,000 CP when re-racing them. Everyone else isn’t worth your time, so just stick with the three I mentioned.
It's important to keep winning and maintain your win combo streak to make the most money possible as once you hit 21 straight wins, your win combo bonus caps out. Once your win streak is high enough, you'll be making more credits per race from your win combo bonus than from your rival's actual prize. By more than double in fact once your win streak caps out, up to over 1.9 million. Then with the perfect race bonus, which is where you win a race with all of your SP remaining, you'll get a bonus 216,000 CP. So try to get as many perfect races as possible. Then after every third win you'll get an automatic 50,000 CP bonus. So all in all you should get about 3 million with every win. Just do a race & win, immediately stop & let them catch up, challenge them again, and rinse & repeat until you have all the CP/BP you want. Depending on who you’re racing, your car will probably start overheating after 10 or so races. When that happens let your rival get ahead of you, then turn on autopilot mode. Within 1-2 minutes the car should cool completely back down and you can immediately go again. Another reason I prefer Eternal Polaris for this, since with her races are over so fast that your car almost doesn’t heat up at all. Remember to stop at parking areas when you need to change your tires or refill your nitrous tanks, better to be safe than sorry. If you’re racing Snake Eyes, always lure him to the Wangan as you reach the fork in the road leading to it as you’re going around the map. Don’t let him drag you back around to the C1 loop, that’s where the AI’s are strongest at. The AI’s can take corners so much faster than you that they’re basically cheating. It may be worth it to just not race them in C1 at all and wait until you’ve passed through it. Remember to signal right when reaching the fork in the road leading to the Wangan if racing Snake Eyes. Otherwise he won’t actually follow you there & the race will just end in a draw.
