Life is not just what it used to be. The division, hatred and ignorance are overwhelming. If you are choosing sides, which I must, I have to choose the side that Jesus and Abe Lincoln would be on. I would have to choose the side Martin Luther King and John Lennon would be on. The side of Love and treating others the way you want to be treated. To be on the side of Freedom, fairness and eradicate prejudice and hate from our life and country. If you are on the side that is okay with cruelty and a denying of due process, then you are on the wrong side of history. One is lowly evolved as a human soul. Maybe your a new soul and don't know any better and that we as human beings are supposed to love one another, be kind and treat people equal and proclaim life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. The Golden Rule is our goal. "Treat others the way you want to be treated. HONOR THE CONSTITUTION. Respect one's due process rights. Anything else is uncivilized and barbaric. And if you are not upset at what you see going on then you are lost, hoodwinked, brainwashed. Love is the right side.
This issue is big, and we all are divided because some people are empathetic and others are not. Some are selfish, greedy and think they are entitled to America and no one else. Read what is on the statue of liberty, or what is in the declaration of independence and in the Constitution. If we are to last another 250 years as a democracy, we must not accept the current trajectory of the political scene. How have we got here? I will tell you. The religious right was looking for someone to come along that would be crazy enough to fit their agenda. They found the clown and now we got a circus spinning out of control and chaotic. If you disagree you bewilder me. You choose the side of hate and you dash the golden rule to pieces. We cannot let tyrants destroy this country. Wake up people. Put a little love in your heart. Give peace a chance. I'd like to teach the world to sing in perfect harmony.

Back then it was about the issue of slavery and racism and prejudice toward blacks. Today it's about upholding the Constitution and sticking to the due process clause or not. It's about stripping away people's rights. Don't be fooled, the right-wing Christian Nationalists and their book Project 2025 is what is causing this mayhem. Only fools would push this agenda. Ulysses Grant said keep the church and state separate. Because we are mixing the toxic stew of politics and religion this is what we get. And how does it taste? Bitter. Horrible.
