This is the endgame of the sixth Toasty Tour MGTT Tournament! This was a Netplay tournament taking place from 11/16-12/3/23 with 44 players from across the MGTT and MSSB communities.
This game pitted me against the winner of the loser's bracket, who only lost to me two games prior. Once again, no introduction is required. It seems Hephlex took what he learned in the previous match and used it against me. He did manage to take the first game from me to reset the bracket and force a winner-takes-all tiebreaker. I did win the following game.
The first game, I went with lefty Wario to try to exploit holes 1 and 3 for early advantages while also having better odds on 13. Of course, in order to make the most of this, I need to play perfectly. I definitely was not, and Hephlex was twisting my screws real tight. Then I switched characters and settled in, gaining early advantage and barely holding it together before a giant steal at the end gave me much more leverage.
