Mario Golf for Gameboy Color originally released in North America on October 5, 1999; received a 3DS Virtual Console release on October 11, 2012; and now on Nintendo Switch Online on March 12, 2024. This broadcast is on the NSO version for convenience. I set out to complete every objective in the main story - this did not include match games against Luigi, Wario, and Mario.
In this final segment, I return to the one challenge I didn't have time for before. So I did not technically achieve my goal of completing the game in one sitting (I did also use the bathroom once). I forgot about the Windy Valley guy after he told me to "get more experience" before returning. This is basically the same thing but with a different pin, which isn't that big of a deal. It's still tricky since you have to land within 6 feet with heavy wind, but I got it second try.
That was every challenge in Story Mode in a little over 5 hours. Short but sweet. I highly recommend giving this a go - it still stands on its own. Sure, Advance Tour has at least double the content, but it's more busy work. I'd rather play this game twice.
The NSO version does not support Transfer Pak features, so this game operates as a standalone experience only, which is fine. MGAT and MGTT compliment each other much more than this game and MG64 do anyway. And I still have the original versions.
