"final phase" is the first opening theme for the third season of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime series, Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T.
I've always been a Railgun fan, I'm one of the people who love the spinoff better than the main story. As I'm looking forward for the episodes to come out before binge-watching them like I always do with other shows, here's my piano arrangement of "final phase", Toaru Kagaku no Railgun T's opening theme by fripSide.
What I love about the Railgun series aside from its science-based story (instead of magic in Toaru Majutsu no Index), is that the opening theme has always been performed by the same group, thus the consistency.
While being in a different key than "only my railgun", "final phase" is very similar in structure and melody to the point where I'm tempted to put it somewhere in the arrangement, but I'll reserve that for another time ;)

Welcome to the second video of the 2018 Grand Piano Edition Cover! More are coming, and will be uploaded at least 16 hours apart from each other.
This is my full version arrangement of Peace Sign, with little bits and cues from Marasys arrangement. The song is incredibly fun to play, it feels hyper, full of energy, you name it. I hope the energy transfers to you through this arrangement!

Peace Sign (ピースサイン) is the second opening theme of My Hero Academia anime adaptation, originally performed by Kenshi Yonezu. Its listed at track #1 in the BOOTLEG album.
About the project:
This project consists of 29 audio & video tracks. All the angles were rendered in 1080p @ 60 fps. I spent extra time on the editing for this video.
The Grand Piano Edition Cover is a series containing special videos filmed and recorded at ArtSound Studio Jakarta. Theyre in charge of recording the raw audio, while I take part in video editing / cinematography and mixing. This is my original piano arrangement.
As much as I enjoy making contents like this, it requires time, energy, and effort. About the song:
This is the main theme of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, composed by Kenji Kawai. He is one of the masters of soundtracks whose other famous works include Fate/stay night (OP1 & music), Ghost in the Shell (music), Higashi no Eden (music), Ranma 1/2 (music), and one of my favorite films, Ip Man (music).
Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is the anime which made me like the horror / thriller genre, and the soundtracks really set the vibe, theyre genius. The main theme in particular sounds creepy, unsettling, as if youre all alone in a dark area far away from everyone else, losing your sanity with each passing second.
About the cover:
All the sounds you hear in this video are entirely generated by the Roland RD-800 sound engine, I didnt use VST. The sounds were recorded in WAV 16-bit directly into the USB, which was then mixed in VEGAS. This theme really caught my attention and Ive been wanting to cover it for quite some time.
This is my first attempt at a horror soundtrack and is my most complex project to date with a total of 72 audio & video tracks and 13 different camera angles. This passed my previous record which is the orchestral cover of Koe no Katachis lit(var) at 52 audio & video tracks, taking two full days to finish.

ANIMA is the 4th single by ReoNa, used as the opening theme of Sword Art Online: Alicization - War of Underworld Part 2 / Season 2.
This is probably the best opening theme of 2020, also one of the most difficult arrangement Ive done this year so far. The song has a sense of rush, and the key signature changes / transpose between verse and chorus definitely caught my attention. Its one of the charm points of the song.
Im particularly proud of the title animation, its so simple yet thats probably how youd picture it if it were a moving image.

I listened to Marasys piano arrangement for the song at a glance in late 2012. But just three days before this video is uploaded, after re-listening to it a couple times, it left a really deep impression and I was urged to make my own version of the arrangement. Its been a while since any song gave that kind of impact on me, and thats a really good feeling.
This song is possibly part of my next major project as Im continuing to arrange the full version and will continue to master until its polished enough to have its own video. In the meantime, this is the shorter arrangement which can also be a sort of preview to the full version Im working on, and Ill be doing some regular projects which Ive already planned prior to making the full version video.
There are a total of 4 different camera angles, and I tried eliminating the fade transition between angles. This might just be the closest thing to a music video Ive done. Feel free to leave a feedback in the comments section below!
