About the song:

This is the main theme of Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, composed by Kenji Kawai. He is one of the masters of soundtracks whose other famous works include Fate/stay night (OP1 & music), Ghost in the Shell (music), Higashi no Eden (music), Ranma 1/2 (music), and one of my favorite films, Ip Man (music).

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is the anime which made me like the horror / thriller genre, and the soundtracks really set the vibe, they're genius. The main theme in particular sounds creepy, unsettling, as if you're all alone in a dark area far away from everyone else, losing your sanity with each passing second.

About the cover:

All the sounds you hear in this video are entirely generated by the Roland RD-800 sound engine, I didn't use VST. The sounds were recorded in WAV 16-bit directly into the USB, which was then mixed in VEGAS. This theme really caught my attention and I've been wanting to cover it for quite some time.

This is my first attempt at a horror soundtrack and is my most complex project to date with a total of 72 audio & video tracks and 13 different camera angles. This passed my previous record which is the orchestral cover of Koe no Katachi's "lit(var)" at 52 audio & video tracks, taking two full days to finish.
