TMNT Shredder's Revenge is finally out! This is a brand new beat 'em up developed by Tribute Games, which was heavily inspired by Konami's classic arcade games, and the early 90s era of the series. I grew up on this stuff, so it's nostalgic seeing all of the references to the cartoon, movies, and games. They packed so much into it, that they ended up with a run time of nearly 2 hours, making this one of the longest beat 'em ups I've ever played. That'll be somewhat polarizing, but I don't mind the length, personally.
April is the fist character I cleared the game with, so I wanted to go back and do a no death run with her now that I've learned everything pretty thoroughly. She's still super fun to play, and I love her speed - especially after playing Splinter and Don back to back, lol. She's a beast, the only things she slightly struggles with are the heavy enemies, like the dinosaurs and rock guys in stages 13 & 14. They're still not a big issue for her, as long as you can single them out (or cleanly group them together) and get some combo resets or juggles in. But she's still one of the strongest characters, regardless. (I think Raph and Casey are still a bit better fwiw)
This will probably be my last Shredder's Revenge video for now. I'll be back if they release a significant update, or do some DLC. My wishlist would be a much more robust scoring system - even a direct copy of Streets of Rage 4's would be great. A playable Shredder would be cool, too, even if it makes no sense story-wise. And maybe some different colors to choose from. It'd be cool if you could match the color scheme of the live action movie turtles, for example. But the game is still awesome as is. If you're a fan of the classic turtles, you have to play it. It was made for you!
I'll be back with more TMNT once the Cowabunga Collection comes out, at least. I'm looking forward to that.
