Okay, this one's gonna be a long one. Strap yourselves in.
This is a Flash game with a strange set of tunes. I've always been intrigued by this game due to its art style and soundtrack, and it doesn't play half bad, but that's not the point.
The point is, within these description fields, I feel obligated to state whether the loop presented here is either a custom loop or how the song loops in game. I say this because the game itself loops its low quality MP3 soundtrack quite abysmally. This upload here is a custom loop of the song.
Yes, the sampling is also supposed to sound that amateurish and a little choppy. This track samples the beginning of Maktone's cover of the Super Mario World Overworld (modarchive.org/module.php?49495), but adds its own drums and off rendition of the said motif. I don't know why, but it's interesting.
Still reading this? Well, congrats on making it this far. I'll be providing loop info and sample info in other description fields of other uploads of this game's soundtrack...not as long as this, though.
I'll leave you off with a fun fact: it was hell trying to edit out the menu text in the title screen. I had to stitch together various sprite elements and screenshots because Flash decompilers wouldn't give me the assets or background straight.
EDIT 9/25/2023: As of today, I noticed the original YouTube links in the Uploader's Notes were privated for some reason. I have replaced them with ModArchive links to the songs in question. I may upload these original chiptunes to this channel at a later date.
