USS KIDD Veterans Museum Executive Director Parks Stephenson joins James from All American Travels to discuss TITANIC. A deep-sea diver, historian, and TITANIC expert, Parks has studied every facet of TITANIC for decades now, from survivor testimony to even diving to the wreck itself twice. Additionally, Parks was involved in a survey of the wreck of TITANIC's White Star Lines sistership HMHS BRITANNIC. In 2021 and 2022 respectively, he developed the search plans that resulted in the discovery of the wrecks of USS JOHNSTON (DD-557) and USS SAMUEL B. ROBERTS (DE-413) and actually dove on the JOHNSTON wreck. His research into JOHNSTON prior to the expedition led him Baton Rouge and the USS KIDD, the only museum destroyer in the world restored to her World War II configuration, where he took his current position in October 2022.
